Event Video Production of ASF’s Innovator’s WEEK and Gala

Ant Farm Media, Inc. provided event video production coverage for the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation‘s Innovators Gala. The Innovators Week & Gala celebrates and awards the new class of Astronaut Scholars, the Innovators of Tomorrow.

During the Innovators Gala Event, the Neil Armstrong Award of Excellence is also presented to an Astronaut Scholar Alum who exemplifies personal character, professional achievement and impact in their field. These criteria embody Neil Armstrong’s core values and those of his colleagues, including the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, Space Shuttle and International Space Station astronauts.

The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides annually more than 60 scholarships to the brightest and most talented college students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation was created in 1984 by: the six surviving Mercury 7 astronauts (Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, John Glenn, Walter Schirra, Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton); Betty Grissom (widow of the seventh astronaut, Virgil “Gus” Grissom); William Douglas, M.D. (The Project Mercury flight surgeon); and Henri Landwirth (Orlando businessman and friend). Together they represented a wealth of collective influence which was particularly suited to encouraging university students pursuing scientific excellence. Their mission was to ensure the United States would be the global leader in technology for decades to come.

Since that time, astronauts from the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttle programs have also embraced this noble mission. ASF partners with industry leaders, universities and individual donors to reward the best and brightest university students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with substantial scholarships.

The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation has recently renewed and expanded our ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion, recognizing the importance of unique perspectives and voices. ASF works with our university partners to execute the scholar selection process in accordance with the standards set forth by ASF’s Mission and Bylaws, Title VI, and supporting policies and procedures.

Ant Farm Media, Inc. has been producing various types of videos for ASF for the last 5 years, but this was our first time getting to provide event video production of one of their events.  Typically, ASF just captures photos of their event, so we were excited to be able to have video content to use in their future video projects.

Ant Farm Media will be filming the next Innovators Gala event in Houston, Texas, which we are super excited about!
