live streamING all space coast transportation planning organization meetings

Ant Farm Media won the 12-month contract to live stream meetings for the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization.

The SCTPO is Brevard County’s Transportation Planning Organization, and was looking for a higher-end solution to live streaming their meetings than what they currently had.

The SCTPO team was producing the live streams in-house, using a Sling and Go-Pro cameras. While the quality may have been good enough for some, they wanted a higher quality final product, including a better audio solution.

Higher quality for Ant Farm Media means providing our standard production-grade 4K Cameras, professional PA system, and providing wireless hand held microphones.  We live switched the cameras through our VMix Professional switcher, using the SCTPO’s YouTube Channel as the CDN.

After our site survey, we made a plan of camera placements, most effective cameras for the job (robo cams), as well as determining the best number of powered speakers and hand held microphones.

We have started these meetings using One (1) Static Wide Camera and Two (2) Robo Cameras to capture both close-ups and wide shots of the participants. We also have Two (2) Powered speakers placed so they don’t feed back into any of the microphones, and Nine (9) Sennheiser Wireless Microphones.

The quality of the meetings have already been met with praise from both the SCTPO team and online viewers of the meetings.  The consensus is, “looks and sounds better than ever!”, which is what we always aim for!
